I am the Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney and I am a Republican candidate for the 2024 election.
As your Prosecutor, I intend to continue
- Combating the drug epidemic in our communities by working with our community partners in the successful prosecution of drug traffickers.
- Educating citizens, particularly our youth, about prevention and resources that provide assistance in obtaining and maintaining sobriety.
- Increasing community outreach efforts of the Prosecutor’s Office through education, awareness, and prevention initiatives.
- Promoting and supporting a trauma-informed care approach with victims of crime.
Angela Wypasek
I grew up in Butler Township, Richland County graduating from Crestview High School. My family members were laborers in farming and trucking and in the factory. I am a first-generation college student. I graduated from Tiffin University with a Bachelor of Criminal Justice and from the University of Akron School of Law with a Juris Doctor. Upon entering college, I knew I wanted to be a prosecutor as I was passionate about advocating for others and my higher education and life’s work have been devoted to preparing for a career as a prosecutor. I am a career prosecutor having worked as a prosecutor for over 21 years, during which I handled hundreds of cases while trying over 140 felony criminal cases to juries.
Mission Statement
It is my mission as the Wayne County Prosecutor to be a minister of justice seeking the truth while upholding and fairly enforcing the law. I will lead the Office in protecting and serving the community by holding offenders accountable, advocating for victims of crime, and educating the community through awareness and prevention outreach efforts.
